The Bessermen are an ethnographic group of Udmurts. They live in Balezinsky, Yukamensky, and Glazoosky districts of Udmurtia. They speak the Udmurtic language with some peculiarities.
The question about the Bessermen’s origin remains disputable. The ethnographic and historical facts allow to see in the Bessermen the Bulgarian descendants of the Volga-Kama area.
