The Zackur (or Tsahur) are a part of the Lak national group. They live in the western part of Rutul district of Daghestan and Kazakh, Zakatolsk and Belokansk districts of Azerbaijan.

The Zackur language belongs to the Lezgin group. The literary language of the Daghestan Zackur is Russian, the one of the Azerbaijan Zackur is Azerbaijanian.

The main occupation of the Zackur is cattle-breeding (mostly sheep-breeding) and sometimes agriculture. They also weave carpets and plaited bags, sew lambskin jackets and leather footwear.

Their houses are built of unprocessed stone. They are gray and very rarely painted white. For this reason their settlements almost merge with the mountains.

Zackur ladies are notable for their specific national clothes: they wear multicolor sweaters and wide skirts girded with cashmere kerchiefs.

Zackur believers are Muslims-Sunnites.
